 Testimonial I spent some time at Bodeidei in August 2010. Originally my intention was to "go bush", get away from my emails and mobile phone by being out of range for a few days, and hang out out with my fellow travellers. I knew Bodeidei was near an Aboriginal community but was not expecting the high level of interaction with the local people! It was amazing, each day various people would come and spend time with us. It was very unstructured which was great because we has time to have real conversations. The kids caught fish in the creek, we swam in the waterholes, and at night we helped out as the young guys tried to remember and show us traditional songs and dances around the fire. The tents were really comfortable, the food had many French overtones (yum!) and the bushwalks were really fascinating. For Australians, Bodeidei is a rare chance to connect with aboriginal people In a setting where everyone feels at home.  |
